Description: Dracaena trifasciata, a flowering plant species belonging to the Asparagaceae family, originates from the tropical regions of West Africa, stretching from Nigeria to the Congo. This plant is widely recognized by several names, including the snake plant, Saint George’s sword, mother-in-law’s tongue, and viper’s bowstring hemp, to name a few. Prior to 2017, it was identified as Sansevieria trifasciata. One of the reasons for its popularity as a houseplant is its low-maintenance nature.
